Ryan Flautz is a principal with KTGY’s Los Angeles office. He oversees all technical design in his studio, lending personal expertise to technical documentation, quality control and construction administration. On any given day, you can find him leading quality assurance in early design review, holding a staff seminar or getting his hands dirty onsite. Ryan possesses the unflappable attitude that can only come from three decades of direct experience. His construction background gives him insight into every design phase, and aggregate experience in architecture, construction and leadership equips him to balance design and client needs with timelines and budgets.

Jumping into a construction career at nineteen, Ryan has always taken a different path. He earned his architect’s license after eight years of full-time architectural work. Currently working toward NCARB certification, growth is as important to Ryan as passing on his experience. He takes pride in being a mentor, and his holistic approach encompasses design, architecture and leadership. To Ryan, design never ends.
